Holiday Reading Wish List

Happy Fourth of July to my fellow Americans! Although I bet I don't have one second to read today (we're hosting a party tonight), here's what's on my holiday stack. What's on yours?

The next Jack of Fables book in Bill Willingham's wonderful Fables series. A young adult book that involves time travel. A look at life in the 1960s in Greenwich Village. A trip to the Alaskan wilderness and a fight for survival.

Wishing you a happy holiday weekend.

Happy 4th to you as well! I like the sound of your reading lineup.
I have on my shelf Feast for Crows by George Martin and French Toast by Harriet Welty Roquefort. Almost done with the French book!

Fin & Lady is one I've been looking forward to, for sure. I adore that cover and can't resist that time period!

All of those books are new to me!

Have a great holiday. There won't be too many outside celebrations here - we're supposed to have another day of rain. It's already rained over 7 inches this week.

We don't have anything planned, so I hope to finish Under the Dome. Still have 400+ pages, but I see the light at the end of the tunnel!

Enjoy your celebration. I'm kind of wishing it would rain here. Our neighborhood is like a war zone on the 4th... :(

Hope you manage to carve some reading time out of your day. We've got nothing planned after this morning. The Hubster is out running a half-marathon this morning and I'm about to head out for a walk. After that it's just relaxing and enjoying the nice weather at home. Steaks on the grill for dinner. Nice and mellow.

Happy 4th to you and yours! The cover of FIN & LADY has completely grabbed me. I'm going to Google the book right now.

I hope you have a wonderful celebration at your house. We are just Kevin and I today, and movies and reading seem to be the order of the day. I dislike crowds for fireworks viewing.

i am re-reading the unbridged version of The Stand and loving it .. i was not at all unhappy not to have any where to go yesterday ... spent it deep in the 1980s

Hope you had a great 4th, even if you didn't get any time for reading! The Fable books have been on my TBR for ages - I really need to get to them. I've actually had the first few out from the library but then time got away from me and they were, sadly, returned unread.

I love the covers of these books. Look so interesting.
