Challenges: Last Batch for 2010
Alaine over at Royal Reviews is hosting the Historical Fiction Reading Challenge. I'm in for the Addicted level, which means 12 books in 2010. I'm looking forward to this challenge because I feel that I've gotten away from historical fiction, which is one of my favorite genres.
Swapna from S. Krishna's Books and Jen from Devourer of Books are hosting the Debutante Ball Reading Challenge. There are two parts to the challenge, and I'm joining both. Jen is hosting the Current Debs Challenge, for which I'm committing to 1 book. Swapna is hosting the Previous Debs Challenge, for which I'm committing to 2 books. I'm excited about discovering and supporting these new authors.
Swapna from S. Krishna's Books is hosting the South Asian Authors Challenge. I'm committing to 3 books for this challenge. I absolutely love a South Asian setting, and some of my favorite books when I was a child had ties to India. This challenge will bring me back to a great setting and will give me a chance to read some new-to-me authors.
Other Challenges
I know of 2 other challenges that I plan to sign up for, but they haven't yet been announced (hint, hint, Amy). Unless something totally irresistible comes along, I think I'm done with my 2010 challenges. I'm in 6 challenges that were started in 2009 but don't end until at least spring 2010. I also plan on finishing up two challenges (the A-Z Authors and A-Z Titles) in my own time, even though they officially end on December 31, 2009. I'm so close to finishing them, that I'm just going to stick with the challenges for my own fun.

I think I've got all mine lined up (I've got another post coming with more next week), but I am quite impressionable and could easily cave if I saw a cute one. I do have a list of graphic novels that I have ready for a challenge, if one comes along!
I'm considering the historical fiction one too! I also an looking at the Nancy Drew one.
I have not officially signed up for a 2010 challenge --- yet. I certainly have several on my radar though.
I also think that I will be joining the historical fiction challenge. When I look back over my lists and what I have enjoyed reading, that seems to be a big part of my reading.
I am thinking about signing up for the Debs challenge!
Ha, Beth - are you sure you will not sign up for more ;-D
I've got to get my stuff together and get my challenges posted too. Good luck with all of yours.
More great challenges! Good luck :)
I've also signed up for royal reviews historical challenge. I probably have joined way to many challenges, but I have the books already so we'll see how well I do.
*pout* my challenge isn't irresistible?
:) No worries. Enjoy! The important thing is to have fun.
You've found some good ones. I'm considering the Debs challenge of the ones you've mentioned. I'm almost ready to post my list and officially sign up. Probably this week.
I need to write another post for challenges in the next week or so. You know I'm glad to see the Debs on there!
The Debutante Ball Reading Challenge looks great. Thanks for the heads up. Will check it out.

All these challenges and buttons are so exciting ... I must keep my head!!! I'm definitely going to do your "What's In A Name" challenge ... getting my post ready this week.
I'm really looking forward to all the great challenges in 2010...including my joint challenge with Anna at War Through the Generations.
I am signing up as well for 2 of the 3 mention here!
Smart, I should think about next year's challenges now while I'm struggling to finish this years rather than wait until January when I'll have forgotten about the end of the year scamble!
Good luck with all your challenges! I've also lined up all the ones I'll be participating next year. :D
I need to do this. The historical fiction one sounds interesting.
A lovely bunch of challenges indeed. I'm tapped out for 2010, so I won't be joining these in particular, but I have a bunch myself. :) Good luck with them all!
I still have quite a few to join.. I really shouldn't as I did so badly this year., but 2010 is a fresh start! :)
