Making Some Changes
Some time next week Beth Fish Reads will have a new look. I spent many hours yesterday customizing a template, including tweaking CSS code, creating pretty tabs, and picking fonts and text colors.
What does this mean for you? Don't be thrown if you start to see new colors, reformatted older posts and other strange changes going on here during the week. It's just me getting ready for my new look.
I also wanted to take a moment to welcome new readers. I hope I can live up to your expectations. To everyone who left me comments last week during BBAW: I plan to visit all of your blogs. I am really excited to have met so many new-to-me bloggers, and I can't wait to start reading your reviews and posts.

I'm just getting a handle on the normal template and figuring out how to add gadgets. :) I already know that your site is going to look impressive and much kudos to you for taking the time to learn how to tweak CSS code! Can't wait to see it.

It must be in the air! I switched out my header and changed colors yesterday.
Looking forward to see your new look. I like doing blog makeovers, and even though I just said that I like my blue color, now I feel like doing a make over myself, LOL. But since I don't even know what CSS is and since I never figured out how to do tabs...well, I guess I'll wait a bit.

Oh exciting! I've been thinking of making my own template but code scares me. Is it doable by the average person?
Chris, I started with a template (a free one) and then tweaked from there. I don't think I have the desire to start from scratch.
I am sure it will be amazing and I am looking forward to it. I do the easy, changes for dummies versions, of changes using the sites with free template lay outs. I can change the pictures in my header but I can't figure out how to change the size.
One thing I REALLY want to do is add tabs to the top of my page so I can clean up my sidebar. Do you have a easy/handy site that explains how to do the tabs which you can recommend?

I can't wait to see your new design! Did you know CSS before you started in on it? I'm trying to learn now, and it's rather an uphill battle, given how long it's been since I did any technical design stuff.

Oh, I am so relieved you won´t let the wonderful Brugge bridge go (Brugge is one of those places I know I will have to go one day).
That is so nice of you to welcome the newcomers! That was a big win for you, and now I will probably have to try hard to get my comment in early! I will totally look forward to your changes, although I love this look. I am always envious of your talent to tweak. I tweak and everything goes to hell, so generally I leave well enough alone.

Ooooh! I'm excited! I love seeing blog makeovers. I plan to do mine sometime next year. You do need to block out a chunk of time to get things right for the big unveil.
So will you be hosting a CSS class via Skype for us all? I'll mark my calendar :)

OK - what Kim said. How and where do I find a way to have Tabs? Oh yeah - and WTF is CSS?!?!?! Is that some hip new way to refer to HTML - because that's the only thing I know how to semi-tweak.
