Blog Improvement Project: #4
This week, Kim of Sophisticated Dorkiness has given us the task of getting back to blog basics. We're to spend two weeks getting our blog in order: updating our profile, culling our blogroll, and so on.
Because I have been inspired by Kim and the other members of the BIP, I've already done quite a few major housekeeping tasks since January 1. If I have time, I may add tabs to my blog so I can keep a running list of book reviews in a single place. However, I will probably rest on my laurels and await Project #5!

I think I'll skip this one too, since I just fixed my blogroll.
I'm skipping this one too since I pretty much did all this earlier in the year.
Yes,you rest on your laurels. You deserve it. I'm enjoying vicariously the changes everyone is making to their blogs via the project. I'm saving up the ideas and will do at some point. I just can't bring myself to commit to the project.
I am very curious though -- do you know how to add tabs to a blogspot blog? I have tried to figure that out and am clueless.
I think you can rest quite safely - it is a good idea of Kim also to write about the more basic items of a blog, but I didn´t even feel any need to change my blog. I am reasonably certain that I am doing what I want to do, and you probably feel the same way about your quite professional blog.
Tabs on Blogger: I did a Google search sometime last fall and saw that there is code out there for making tabs on Blogger. They don't work the same way as they do for Wordpress.
I am SO impressed with all of ya who are doing this project. I just started my blog the first of the year, so I can't do a lot of the stuff suggested, but I love following it. Good for you guys!
Yes, I agree with the others, I think you can safely rest on your laurels. I don't know if I will be doing any things this time, but tabs sounds like a great thing, and I will probably look into it myself.
Hi Beth! I've seen you around on others blogs, so I thought I'd pop in and say hi. I love the layout of your blog--I'm using the Scribe template for one of mine, but I love how yours is stretched. I'd also like to add tabs to my regular book blog. Actually--I'd like someone to do a complete overhaul. :) Not me...someone, though.
Have a great weekend.
Is it wrong that I participate in this by reading about it on other blogs rather than the source blog? I think it is but I'm happy to see you post on this.
I had a few things to work on for this week, so I put in some work and am happy with the results. I'd never been to your site before today and I've got to say I really like the layout you use! I was wondering if you could tell me how you created the Challenge Progress graphics?
Thanks all for your kind comments.
Jenners: participate any way that suits you best -- that's what I say!
D Dubs: in my footer under "Thanks" is a link to the site that creates my progress bars.
Beth, you are really the epitome of blog improvement. You are always working on your game! You have every right to rest a bit!
I love the Blog Improvement Project. Kim has come up with some really cool ideas and it is great to have a community of bloggers working hard on improving their blog. I'm so behind on my tasks though. I should take a day to get up to date.
Your blog looks great, you did a lot of streamlining. I say, rest away ...
