I bought Beedle the Bard for my hubby for Christmas - that way I can read it too.
I need to make sure to read Tales of Beedle the Bard soon! I should have put it into a reading challenge, LOL!
wow! :) Nice list! JKR book there - **sigh**
My 7th graders, both boys and girls, LOVE Jeff Smith's Bone series. And, I can't wait to check out Elizabeth George's Write Away. Thanks for the suggestions!
I really liked The Tenderness of Wolves and Mudbound and recommend them highly. I started A Plague of Doves but had to return it to the library, but will get it out again. I recently read Sebastian Barry's The Secret Scripture and loved it, so I might try the Annie Dunne now. Thanks for the suggestion. Happy reading.
I'm saving Beedle the Bard for Christmas Day!
Mrs. Shealy: thanks for the good words about Bone. I hope I like them.
Sandra: Thanks for the thoughts. They'll help me sort out my miles-long wish list.
Christmas day is a great idea!
I loved Nancy Drew when I was a kid and am thrilled to see that one of them has become a graphic novel now. I may have to get that.
Louise: ha, ha. There are actually several now out as graphic novels! I'm hoping I don't become addicted.
Merry Christmas.
Yes, do check out Melina Marchetta! I read Looking for Alibrandi and it's really good. It's one of my fav. books. :)
